1 of the top triggers of anxiety is presuming everyone else has their stuff together and you’re the only one a mess

Think about times when you’ve met someone new that you have admired from a far and then you’re shocked to find out they have worries/ problems/ concerns too. This isn’t a one off. Everyone has something they’re working on, something they’re trying to figure out, something they’re struggling with

To base our own expectations of ourselves on standards we’ve presumed everyone else is meeting is not only unachievable but massively detrimental to our mental health. You’re trying to reach a stand no one has reached or will ever reach

Give yourself a break, lower your expectations and be kinder to yourself via your thoughts
