Do you need positive feedback to feel valued?

I received a lovely little postcard yesterday from the Mum of a client I have been working with. Receiving feedback is a blessing in my work and I honestly do make a conscious effort to take time to cherish the kind words and allow them to wrap round me like a little warm hug

We all need to be told that we are doing a good job or else it eats into our feelings of not being good enough so FOR THOSE THAT WORK IN A SECTOR WHERE YOU DON’T GET REGULAR POSITIVE FEEDBACK………

  • Never presume you are not good at your job just because someone isn’t singing your praises
  • Acknowledge that in busy times People get caught up in their own work load/ life and might forget to say “good job / Well done”
  • Be your own cheerleader. Acknowledge when you’ve had a good day, when you’ve achieved the big stuff on your list, when you’ve gone out of you way to help someone etc
  • Look at your strengths and praise yourself for what you bring to the working day

AND More importantly when you get to a point in your life when you can recognise how amazing you are this is the best feedback you will ever receive!

Instilling self confidence in my clients is a huge part of the work I do and once you’ve got it, its life changing. Have a think right now if you had unstoppable confidence how would it enhance:

  • Your career
  • Your relationship
  • Your friendships
  • What you believe you can achieve/ have

Have a great week and don’t forget to give yourself a hug
