On average a person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those thousands of thoughts around 95% are exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before. This will answer the question of are you stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts and why you repeat the same cycles but let’s get into more detail.

The conscious part of your brain takes in events as they are happening but how it processes them is via the subconscious thoughts system.

For example: Something great happens at work, targets smashed or a promotion etc the conscious part of your brain acknowledges this and feels good but the subconscious part of your brain which controls the unlimited memory bank for beliefs, past experience, memories etc kicks straight in without your control and reminds you that although this good thing is happening if your belief is “i’m not good enough” it will keep you stuck in a cycle of the repeated thoughts you have about yourself and the world around you and won’t allow you to celebrate these key moments and will focus mainly on the negative or perceived negative events. Like the time you had that conversation with someone and you still ruminate on how you might have come across and what they might think of you….. am i right?

Learning how to stimulate the communication between the conscious and the subconscious minds is a powerful tool and once mastered will unlock the key to success, contentment and inner peace.

The head space you live in doesn’t have to be this hard you just need to decide to put attention to changing its trajectory.
