Overwhelmed and overworked?

Feeling like you’re just keeping it all together but it’s taking all your energy?

Here are some top tips to help you get on top and switch off:

  • Make a plan! Start your week with purpose and be strategic about what it is you want to achieve for the week, the non-negotiables!
  • Plan in time for you. It can sometimes feel like you cant carve the time you need for you but this is so important if you are trying to show up for everybody else. Whether it’s 30 minutes before bed to read or planning in some hobbies and activities you keeping putting off but you know they make you feel less stressed and more energised
  • Personal discovery. Take time to actually work out what it is that is making you feel overwhelmed. Sometimes it can be the little things adding up that can make everything feel unmanageable so whether it’s organising your meal plan for the week so that takes one decision away a day or if it’s heavy workload then check over your to do list and see if there is anything you can pause/delegate/delete
  • Organisation. The majority of us are fairly organised at work having a structured to do list but when it comes to personal life a lot of those things are in our head whether it’s booking a hair appointment, knowing you have to get school uniform before September, by birthday card for eggs, booking the car in for its MOT etc. If all of these sort of things are swirling around in our head and not on a physical list this will add to feeling like life is controlling you and you’re not controlling it
