Yesterday I got to thank the nurse who was present during my stay in hospital when I gave birth to my daughter 9 years ago!
I was 4 weeks early, my first child and we were in hospital a week so naturally I was nervous and desperate to take my newborn home. She was the nurse who made that stay a little brighter, a little easier and understood when I got a little teary. It was a busy ward but she didn’t make me feel she was too busy to care. Yesterday I bumped into her in the supermarket, did she remember me? Of course not! But I did get to tell her how bloody wonderful I think she is.
