Friendship blessings

February 7th, 2018|

T H R O W B A C K to when I did my first ever keynote speaker as a coach. Nervous and unsure of how I would be received, 2 of my closest girlfriends were at the event to support me. I jumped on that wonderful phrase “feel the fear and do it anyway” and with my girls whispering in my ear how I could do it and I’d be amazing I took a few deep breaths and ploughed on through. It was a great success and naturally I need not have worried, but my memory is not that of the actual speech but of the warmth and support from my girls. 🤗

What happens when you create a Coaching environment in your organisation?

What happens when you create a Coaching environment in your organisation?

January 28th, 2018|

When you install coaching into an organisation you create an environment for managers and co workers to become self motivated, empowered and engaged.
Attitudes shift towards that of a can do approach, employees review their work and seek out improvement. Individuals take ownership of projects and allow themselves to be stretched by the task in hand. Managers believe in their staff allowing them to learn by their mistakes and grow in the process. Goals are clear and strategy driven allowing a one team approach.
Is your organisation a coaching environment?

Have you set out your goals, desires and resolutions for 2018?
Did anything stop you achieving your dreams in 2017?
Fear of failure can really hold us back and keep us from taking those steps to committing to our goals. Can you be courageous enough to feel the fear and do it anyway. What would the year ahead look like if you did?

Why companies are wasting time developing their teams

January 3rd, 2018|

Companies spend millions of pounds on Training their teams to ensure continued development. Unfortunately research shows that once training is completed, people migrate back to their old ways, sometimes within 24 hours of training.  Coaching to support learning is effective in keeping training knowledge at the fore front of their mind and allowing them to implement it daily and their development areas will then become their strengths. When as few as three coaching sessions are offered as a follow up to training, the training event is transitioned into a learning process. If participants know that there will be follow up sessions they will be more inclined to present how they will apply their learning. The coaching then becomes a reinforcement tool to ensure the training is now a day to day result.

When you make a wish…….

January 1st, 2018|

Its become a tradition of mine to get together with the girls just after new year and we write down 5 things we are thankful for from the year past and on the same piece of paper we ask for 5 things we want from the year ahead. We don’t openly share these with each other, these are ours! We wrap up our paper pop our name on a keep all of them safe in a box for a year untouched.
We have now put out to the universe our wishes and desires for the year ahead.
When we get together a year down the line we get to open up the box of wishes and share what came true. Guaranteed every year at least 2/3 out of our 5 have always succeeded.

For the one wish we hold dear we write this one on a piece of wish paper and send it out to the universe. I also do this with my family, encouraging my daughter to believe dreams can come true!

I hope all your dreams come true in 2018, Jude x

Dream big

December 14th, 2017|

Lubaina Himid has been crowned this year’s Turner Prize winner. At 62 Himid becomes the oldest person to ever win the Turner prize. Proving age is merely a number and that you can achieve great things no matter where you are in your time of life.

Remind yourself ages is just a number and dream big above the stars. What will be your goal for 2018!

Client Feedback

November 20th, 2017|

‘Be that girl who wakes up with purpose and intent. Be that girl who shows up and never gives up. Be that girl who believes anything is possible and is willing to work for it.’

My main aim is to ensure my clients are getting to the goals they set themselves. It never feels like ‘work’ but a privilege to be on the journey with them so its always incredibly heart warming when I get feedback as below.

‘do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life’

The best way to get motivated is to find the space that works for you. What are the conditions you need to feel inspired and get in the zone???

My personal space has to have a view, I love a lit candle and I love a list to work through!

How to choose a life coach

July 9th, 2017|

Life coaching is becoming more and more popular now as a great form of modern therapy but with its surge in popularity there comes the question of how to choose the best life coach for you.

1. Choose an accredited coach.
Believe it or not but anyone can set up a website and say they are a life coach without the necessary training, diplomas and supervision. If they are an accredited coach then they will be monitored yearly by a governing body and will have had to meet a strict criteria of training and qualified to Coach

2. Find a coach that works in your area of need
Check out their website, does it state that they work within your area of need. Most people hire a life coach when something in their life is not going well. It could be that your life is lacking meaning and purpose, your career path is not going in the right direction. Whatever the case is, you want to find a life coach that works in the thing that you want to improve.

3. Choose a coach that has rapport with you.
If your first meeting is a little flat and you don’t feel that the coach ‘gets’ you then maybe the two of you just don’t have the rapport needed to enable coaching to work. Don’t give up on coaching in this instance just try to find a different coach that is better suited. Coaches wont be offended, this is a 2 way process and for this to work you need to feel comfortable in their company and build rapport to work together on your goals/ issues.
